Professor Sri Krishna Srivastava is a distinguished academician and a visionary leader in higher education and possesses rich administrative & academic experience. Prof. Srivastava has joined as the Vice Chancellor, Babu Banarsi DasUniversity, Lucknow, U.P. in August 2025 and brought a dynamic and innovative approach to institutional leadership.Prof. Srivastavahas earlier served as the Vice Chancellor, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya(a premier Central University), during the period 2015-2021 where he successfully provided strategic leadership to the University. At NEHU Shillong, he has been the Chairman of various Statutory Bodies viz., Executive Council, Academic Council, Finance Committee and also other important committees like the IQAC, UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (UGC-MMTTC) etc.Presently, Prof. Srivastava is a Member, Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati & also the Council Nominee, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Pune (appointed by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India).
